Website Care + Maintenance Plan

Following the launch of your new website, this ongoing maintenance plan is designed to protect your investment and keep your WordPress website running smoothly via the following essential benefits:

Professional Website Support Retainer

Includes up to ONE hour per quarter* of dedicated, on-call, professional website support, including basic website assistance such as: revisions, content updates, WordPress CMS training, and troubleshooting.

If you assign Minimize as a technical contact for your WordPress hosting providerā€”e.g., WP Engine, then, Minimize can access your account and notify you if there are any issues with your hosting that needs to be addressed.

* Non-accruable, billed in 15 minute increments.

Security & Backups

Your managed WordPress hosting provider, WP Engine, will be responsible for the security of your website and regular backups. Details are available via the following links:

WordPress Major Core Updates

When WordPress releases a major core update (typically every quarter), the upgrade process may be performed “manually”, with extra care taken to ensure that the upgrade has completed successfully with no negative impact on the front or back-end functionality of your website. This monitored process typically involves creating the backup, then the core upgrade is performed, then numerous checks are made to see how the upgrade affected your site. If the upgrade results in any undesired functionality, the backup may be restored – and further assessments will be made. Minor, incremental WordPress upgrades will be performed automatically by WP Engine.

Plugin Updates

WordPress plugins will be updated on a regular basis, which is important to maintaining the stability and security of your website. Note, some non-free, “paid” plugins may incur additional upgrade / renewal costs, depending on the plugin terms.

WordPress plugins are created by multiple authors, and are consistently updated to newer versions to comply with the latest version of WordPress, or to address security issues and bugs.

It is not guaranteed that plugin updates will not break the website, nor that plugins will continue to function if not updated. For this reason, having a trained web specialist on hand to monitor the website is necessary to update plugins, rollback plugins, replace plugins or even adjust the theme to continue optimal performance.

Discount on Future Development Services

With this ongoing website service plan, you will receive an exclusive, preferred 15% discount on future development service estimates, such as: new features, templates, themes, etc.

Recurring quarterly subscription.
